I loved the idea of being able to use this product when I have bug bites to relieve the itching. Of course you never know when a bug bite or rash will occur. Neither one of those have happened to me since receiving the cream over a month ago. Unfortunately this means, I'm not sure how well it actually works to relief the itching.
I did place the product on my hands. For some reason I was expecting it to be a creamy texture like lotion. It was not. It is a clear gel. Similar in texture to hand sanitizer. It did not have much of a smell to it. My hands are extremely dry and cracking due to weather so it did sting a little on the cracking parts of my hands. I expected that as the website does say that if used on abraded skin it might sting. The stinging was mild and did not cause me to have to wash it off. Even lotions at this point hurt when applied to my hands. So I'm sure if you have skin that isn't dry and cracking you'd be fine.
What I love about TriCalm is that it is steroid-free and safe to use for long term.
The formula contains COSMEDERM-7. Cosmederm-7 is a compound of strontium which is a naturally occurring element found in leafy green vegetables.
This product is FDA approved and is safe to use daily on kids or adults. I would have no problem using this product on any member of my family including my 2 1/2 year old son.
Another plus of this product is that is non-numbing and works on contact. Plus it does not increase sensitivity to U.V. rays. It is safe to use while spending time outside.
Be sure to check out TriCalm on facebook.
